Surfline SL

The Surfline SL is configured as a Class 2 e-bike with throttle and pedal assist governed to 20 mph. Class 2 e-bikes are allowed in many bike-friendly areas, but rules vary by state, city, trail system, park, and land manager. Always check local regulations before riding.

Single-speed is the right call if you're mostly riding flat terrain — beach paths, boardwalks, cruising around town. It's ultra-quiet, zero maintenance, and the motor handles any slight incline without you thinking about gears. The 5-speed is worth it if you have real hills, longer routes, or want to actually pedal and feel efficient across the power band. In single-speed mode, there's only a small RPM window where pedaling feels natural — below and above that, the motor takes over and legs just spin. The derailleur version gives you useful range the whole way.

Our rated range is up to 60 miles based on flat terrain, moderate assist, and a 175 lb rider. Real-world range varies with rider weight, assist level, terrain, and temperature. Most riders see 35–50 miles per charge in mixed conditions.

The SL is the lighter, more mechanical option — chain drive, available in single-speed or 5-speed, built for riders who want to feel connected to the bike. The Auto uses a belt drive and automatic transmission for a completely effortless, maintenance-free experience. The SL starts at $4,500; the Auto is $5,500. We ship free to the contiguous United States. Alaska, Hawaii, and international orders — contact us for a shipping quote. Bikes arrive 95% pre-assembled in a purpose-built crate.

30-day returns. If you're not satisfied, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we'll arrange a pickup. Bike must be in original, undamaged condition. Return shipping fees may apply.

The Surfline SL comes with a 2-year warranty on the frame, motor, and battery under normal use. Consumables (tires, brake pads, chain) are not covered. Extended warranty options available at checkout.

Yes. The chain drive system is designed for universal serviceability — any local shop that works on e-bikes can adjust gearing, replace the chain, or bleed brakes. The motor and battery are field-replaceable, and we ship replacement parts directly.

Bikes currently in stock ship within 1–2 weeks. If your order is not in stock, current lead time is approximately 3 months. We'll send tracking as soon as your order ships.
