Revv Co builds bikes to be ridden often and kept in service for years. The warranty below applies to all Surfline models purchased directly from Revv Co. Coverage begins on the date of original delivery and applies only to the original purchaser.

Frame & fork

Lifetime

The frame and fork are covered for the life of the bike against defects in materials and workmanship under normal riding conditions.

Motor & electronics

2 years

The mid drive motor, controller, display, wiring harness, and all integrated electrical systems are covered for 2 years from delivery.

Battery

2 years

Battery pack and BMS are covered for 2 years. Coverage applies to defects and failures — not capacity loss within the normal degradation curve of lithium cells.

Components

1 year

Brakes, drivetrain, suspension, throttle, and all mechanical components are covered for 1 year against manufacturing defects. Normal wear items (pads, tires, cables) are not covered.

Coverage details

What's covered

The Revv Co Limited Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that arise under normal use during the applicable coverage period. "Defect" means a failure of the product to function as intended due to a problem present at the time of manufacture or delivery — not a failure caused by use, environment, or modification after delivery.

Covered components include the frame, fork, motor, battery pack and BMS, controller, display, integrated wiring harness, suspension (frame linkages and forks), brakes (calipers, levers, and hydraulic lines — not pads), and drivetrain (cranks, derailleur, cassette, belt or chain — not consumables). Coverage applies at the durations listed above by component category.

What's not covered

The following are explicitly excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Normal wear items: brake pads, tires, inner tubes, cables, chain or belt (consumable wear), grips, saddle, and bar tape
  • Cosmetic damage: scratches, paint chips, surface corrosion, decal deterioration
  • Damage resulting from accident, collision, crash, or impact
  • Damage caused by improper storage — including prolonged exposure to water, rain, road salt, or extreme temperatures
  • Damage caused by failure to perform routine maintenance as described in the owner's documentation
  • Damage caused by unauthorized modification, including any alterations to the frame, motor, battery, electrical systems, or software
  • Damage caused by use in racing, stunt riding, or commercial rental without prior written authorization from Revv Co
  • Labor costs associated with repair performed outside Revv Co or a Revv Co-authorized service arrangement

Battery capacity

Lithium battery cells lose capacity gradually over charge cycles — this is expected behavior, not a defect. The warranty does not cover gradual capacity loss within the normal degradation curve. It does cover battery failures, BMS faults, sudden significant capacity drop, and manufacturing defects within the 2-year coverage window.

Transferability

The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. Coverage ends at the point of any sale, transfer, or change of ownership. If you have questions about a used Surfline purchase, contact us and we'll tell you what we can about the bike's history.

Conditions for coverage

To be eligible for a warranty claim, you'll need: (1) proof of purchase from Revv Co, (2) the bike's serial number, (3) evidence that the bike has been used within the intended operating parameters, and (4) documentation that the issue was not caused by an excluded condition. Revv Co reserves the right to inspect the bike before confirming a warranty claim.

Service options

We don't have a dealer network — so we've built the service model around what actually works for a direct customer. Here's how repairs get done.

Drop off at Revv HQ

Based in Reno, NV. Bring your bike in and our team will diagnose and service it directly. Best option for anything west of the Rockies.

Ship it in

Pack and ship your bike to Revv HQ for evaluation and repair. We'll provide guidance on packaging and confirm logistics before you ship.

Local bike shop

If you have a trusted local shop, we can coordinate with them remotely — supplying parts, documentation, and technical guidance so your repair gets done right.

Replacement parts

For straightforward component issues, we can ship the part directly to you or your shop. This is often the fastest path for experienced riders comfortable with the repair.

A note on self-repair: We understand some owners prefer to work on their own bikes — and basic maintenance is completely fine. However, Revv Co is not liable for any damage caused by owner-performed or unauthorized repairs to covered components. If a repair goes sideways and affects a covered part, warranty coverage for that component may be voided. When in doubt, contact us first.

How to file a claim

Claims start with a message. Here's what to include and what happens next.

1

Gather your info

Have your bike model, serial number, order number, and a short description of the issue ready before reaching out. The more specific you are about when it started and what it looks like, the faster we can help.

2

Document the issue

Take photos or a short video whenever possible. Visual documentation saves time, allows our team to pre-triage the issue, and often makes first-response troubleshooting more useful — especially for electrical issues.

3

Contact Revv Co

Send everything to team@mail.revv-co.com or use the contact form at revv-co.com/contact. Our team reviews warranty inquiries directly — no ticket queue, no automated deflection.

4

We review and respond

Revv Co will evaluate the issue and let you know whether simple troubleshooting resolves it, or whether the next step is a parts shipment, shop coordination, or a formal warranty review. We'll also confirm shipping logistics at this stage.
